When Jay Simeon brought this panel in, he shared that it tells an old Haida story he had heard about two wolves that live inside each of us - a light wolf and a dark wolf. Depending on which wolf you nourish, that particular side will show its face. He's expressed this through the beautiful gradient painting style.⁠

Val Malesku's popular print "Salmon Eggs Unleashed" is a Northwest Coast expansion of a "dot" pattern made famous by British Artist Damien Hirst. "White Moons" is a variation of this design influence that she continued in a number of her prints.⁠
