Eagle is a truth-teller and a truth seeker. In traditional ceremonies, when one holds an eagle feather, one must always tell the truth otherwise Eagle will know; they always see truth, which is why their eyesight is so strong. Eagle, like other spirit guides, is always in your presence: even when you think you are alone, you aren’t. These spirits guide you as much in ceremony as in the minutia of everyday life. The spirits permeate the thin veil that separates the human and the spirit worlds, bridging the divide and, when welcomed into one’s life, assures they follow the correct path.
This mask is called "The Veil of Truth" and the style, "piercing the veil," is one of Klatle-bhi's original designs. He calls them "piercing the veil" masks as they seem to represent a face pushing forward through the wood. This Eagle mask is particularly exceptional as it is carved from a single piece of red cedar.
