This basket has been identified as the work of Agnes Williams of Massett, Haida Gwaii, by renowned Haida weaver Delores Churchill. Though unsigned, most Northwest Coast weavers have a notable 'signature' that identifies their creations. In the case of Agnes Williams, she often imbricated a coloured rim around the small handle on the lid of her baskets.
