Charlie Johnson

Charlie Johnson was born in 1964 in Kingcome Inlet, British Columbia. He began carving in 1980 at the age of 15. Charlie was inspired by his father Sam Johnson and his own desire to explore the culture and the art form. Charlie learned to carve with Simon Dick and Beau Dick and also Joe Peters. He works mostly in wood, specializing in masks, rattles, and bowls.
