This talking stick depicts an unusual character, an octopus in human form (third figure from the top). The octopus is associated with power and transformation and is often found on pieces that belonged to a shaman. The creature has a hooked beak, bulbous head, and holes along the arms and legs of the figure that are meant to be the octopus' suckers.
