This serigraph, titled Moons Eclipsed is part of a limited edition of 9 prints by the artist Val Malesku. After a courageous battle with cancer, Val passed on before signing or numbering these prints, although her artistic vision is unmistakable in its minimalistic beauty. The sale proceeds from these prints will support residents of Haida Gwaii travelling off-island for cancer treatments, a cause that held personal significance for Val Malesku.
Each print comes with a signed certificate by Val's sister and Executor of Val Malesku's Estate, Wendy Malesku affirming the authenticity of the artwork and its place in Val Malesku's artistic legacy.
