Landon Gunn started working in wood and silver under the guidance of Haida artist Clarence Mills in 2002. Since that time, he has continued his studies in wood with Tsimshian artist Phil Gray, and in gold and silver with Haida artists Jay Simeon, Gerry Marks and Kelvin Thompson-some of the finest jewellery in the Northwest Coast. In February of 2008, Landon graduated from the Northwest Coast Jewellery Arts Program at the Native Education College in Vancouver, which was led by Kwakwaka’wakw/Haida artist, Dan Wallace.
Landon's work is distinct for its creativity and for the crispness of its lines. He is able to create pieces that are complex in design but simple and elegant in execution.
