Bill Reid is renowned for his stunning gold jewelry and these Bear Bracelets are
no exception. They are one of the only known sets of identical gold bracelets still
in existence unseparated. In 1958 Reid was commissioned by a Haida family living
in Prince Rupert to carve an identical pair of bracelets for their two daughters.
The two sisters owned these bracelets until they were acquired by the current
owner today. Having only had two owners in over 60 years has allowed these
magnificent works of Bill's to stay together the way he intended.
