In “Coming Home” there are four moon faces, each in a different quadrant. To Margaret August, moons are symbolic of the female energies and the matrimonial lineage. The moon connects her spiritually to her heritage. Margaret says, "this image translates the grandmother's guidance to yourself and to your homelands."
