Reuben Wallace

Reuben Wallace was born in 1952 in Mount Currie, British Columbia. He is a member of the Haida and Kwaguilth Nations, which inhabit the Southern regions of the province. Rueben began carving wood over twenty years ago and was taught to use jewelry carving tools by Denny Dixon, a well-known Haida Argillite carver. Rueben in known for his painting, wood carving, and jewelry. He is one of many Northwest Coast artists who is preserving the carving tradition for future generations.
