This is a beautiful argillite pole carved by Robert Davidson and signed "Robert Davidson Jr." indicating this was completed before the death of his grandfather, Robert Davidson Sr, in 1969. This argillite pole has been meticulously detailed, and then the entire surface was polished with wettened emery cloth leaving it with a jet-black sheen.
