Stephen K. Hunt

Born on December 14, 1962, in Victoria, British Columbia, Stephen K. Hunt is a member of the Kwakiutl Nation and makes his home in T'sakis (Fort Rupert, British Columbia).

He is the son of Mary Hunt (née Henderson), whose family belongs to the Campbell River Band, and George Hunt of the Kwakiutl Nation. His maternal grandparents were Sam and May Henderson, and his paternal grandparents were Thomas and Emma Hunt.

Stephen trained under his eldest brother, George Hunt Jr., at the Coppermaker Workshop in Fort Rupert. His artistic practice includes woodcarving and paper painting.
