This limited edition print depicts the iconic double headed serpent. Serpents have been considered as high esteemed art symbols in many of the Pacific Northwest coast art traditions.

In she shashishalhem (shishalh [Sechelt] language), ch’inkw’u translated is ‘double headed serpent’. The serpent symbolizes the notion of power and rebirth. This legendary being is known to have supernatural powers of immeasurable strength to preserve and restore balance amongst all living things. They are protectors of animals and humans alike, and they are protectors of the land.

To show their gratitude, the animals give their offerings to ch’inkw’u in the form of mother nature's offerings of abundance, such as salmon in the oceans and rivers as well as the energies of grandmother moon.
