Harrison Martin was born in Vancouver in 2003 and is a contemporary Nisga'a and Tsimshian artist. In 2021, Harrison was one of seven recipients awarded the YVR Art Foundation's Emerging Artist Scholarship. Currently, Harrison is working with Nuu-chah-nulth artist, Moy Sutherland, and previously apprenticed with Kwakwaka'wakw artist Rande Cook. Harrison continues to develop his own style and is recognized for his contemporary interpretation of traditional designs.
