Amongst the Tsimshian, Nanasimgit is known as Gunarhnesemgyet or Gunar. The story tells of a woman being taken by the Killer Whales and made to marry. Nanasimgit ventures to the home of the Killer Whales to retrieve his wife and bring her home (Barbeau 1953: 269-286).
